I like the FA Trophy. I have a cunning idea on how to improve the trophy. In Scotland the Northern Irish and Welsh have entered teams as guests in the Scottish Challenge Cup. I do not support merging the leagues. But I do support cross border cups on top of domestic football. My idea is to allow all Scottish Premiership and Scottish Championship sides not In Europe and all Welsh Cymru Premier sides into the FA Trophy as guests. Imagine games like Truro v Cove Rangers or Dundee v Wrexham or Matlock v Arbroath.

First time I've ever been along to watch MTFC so I'm coming at this from a very fresh perspective. I thought the side threw everything at Morpeth and cannot fault the effort and application put in. It proved a really tight match between two very committed sides. Matlock definitely had the better of it overall and had 3 points on their mind whereas Morpeth looked to me like a point was their main objective - which when you're away at a side above you, is not unusual. I thought both sides played well, and Matlock's no. 3 especially had a stormer. Lovely ground, set up and great to see families and youngsters in attendance to cheer on a very promising team. I enjoyed the game and atmosphere. I'm surpised and sorry to hear about the negativity but as a new fan I would say there's a lot to be proud of at MTFC.
